Your gift of $50 will go toward buying an English language medical terminology textbook that will be given to a nurse in training. A majority of medical journals are written in English; it is essential for medical professionals around the world to learn medical terminology in English in order to improve themselves professionally and to advance the health care provided to their patients.  MEDRIX provides an English Language Medical Terminology course to nurses and doctors at Hue Central Hospital and to the medical faculty at Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacology.  Each participant in this course receives an English Medical Terminology textbook to use during the course and to use for reference after completion of the course.  This is a highly valued program by the medical professionals because it helps them to better communicate.

Through the MEDRIX medical training partnership with the Hue Central Hospital, training is provided to nurses working at Hue Central Hospital.  They spend 9 days attending in-class and in-the-field training sessions to learn how to properly assess their patients.  They also spend time learning and practicing nursing terms in English so they can better communicate internationally and so they can read medical books and papers written in English to further their knowledge.  While attending these training sessions these nurses are still doing their regular shifts and taking care of their families.  This training is extremely important for the professional development of these nurses and for providing health care for their patients who will greatly benefit from accurate assessments and diagnosis.  You can support a day of this very valuable training for just $20!
