Hoang is a 25-year-old resident physician working in the Ophthalmology Department at Hue Central Hospital. She graduated from Medical School a year ago. Her department within the Hospital invited her to attend the MEDRIX English Language Medical Terminology course to improve her English speaking and reading skills, both used on a daily basis.
Thanks to you, her English has improved considerably through the use of her English Medical Terminology textbook while attending this course. Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Tuy is a nurse at a small medical center in Hue, Vietnam. She is 25 years old and has been working at this medical center for three years. She works alongside five nurses and seven doctors. This team is responsible for all the children and families in the community who visit the medical center for health and medical purposes. It is essential for nurses to have the necessary skills and training to properly assess and provide expert nursing care for their patients.

Nurse Dinh Thi is 30 years old and has been working in the Pediatric Department at Hue Central Hospital for 7 years. Working at the largest Pediatric Department in Central Vietnam, Nurse Nguyen sees children from the local community as well as children who have traveled days on a motorbike or bus to receive medical care. The Pediatric Department encourages continued education to advance the skills of the nurses and doctors for the benefit of the children.

Nurse Anh Works Hard for the Health of her Community!

Ms. Tran Ton Kieu Anh is 24 years old and is a nurse at Huong Thuy Medical Center in Vietnam where she has been working for two years. Nurse Anh works alongside two doctors and two nurses providing medical care to the people living in this district. With a small staff and limited resources, this medical center serves the community of Huong Thuy as best as it can.

Nurse Nga Is Keeping the Young Healthy!

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Nga is a 38-year-old nurse at Hue Central Hospital in Central Vietnam where she has worked for 12 years. As a nurse in the Pediatric Department, it is always heart breaking to watch children who are extremely ill or who die from common illnesses only because the illness wasn’t detected or diagnosed earlier. Ms. Nga is always looking for ways to improve and save more of children’s lives.

Ms. Hai is a 45-year-old nurse practitioner at An Tay Clinic in Central Vietnam. She is married and has two kids. Ms. Hai is one of five medical professionals at the health clinic she works at. She is responsible for all the nursing care provided for the children and families in the An Tay community. Ms. Hai wants to learn how to properly diagnose illnesses so she can provide better care and treat her patients, while also understanding how the illnesses affect the lives of the patients and their families.

Dr. Thuy is improving her ability to understand and speak medical terminology in English

Dr. Thuy is the Vice Chief of the Hematology Department at Hue Central Hospital in Hue, Vietnam. She is 44 years old, has worked at Hue Central Hospital for 14 years and has never studied medical terminology in the English language. She reads English books, however does not speak English often. She desired further studies of medical terminology in English to improve her pronunciation and improve her ability to speak clearly with foreigners, especially those in medical and health-related fields.
Sam, thank you for your generous donation of an English medical terminology textbook for Dr. Thuy! She will continue to use this book to study and improve her English medical terminology so she can speak clearly with colleagues, foreign medical and health professionals, and foreign patients.
