One step closer to clean and safe water…

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for people living in Vietnam, MEDRIX works to provide water treatment systems for rural village schools.

Your generous donations have helped bring us one step closer to funding a brand new school installation site for 2013 at the Phu Xuan 1 Primary School in the Phu Vang District. The goal of our safe water development program is to establish a base for healthier living and proper hygiene practices. School children are taught proper hand-washing techniques along with oral care in addition to safe drinking water access. The result is a lower incidence of illness. Once a treatment system is installed, the schools fill large jugs with the filtered water to use during the day in the classrooms.

In the hot and humid climate of Vietnam, water is an ever present need. The children are able to fill their cups throughout the day with water that is safe to drink. Additionally, MEDRIX partners will keep tabs on the systems once they are installed to ensure that they continue to work properly and receive repairs as needed.
