Dear Bilal, Ehtasham, Lisa, Dennis, Bill, Eileen and Eddie,
Nurse Dinh Thi is 30 years old and has been working in the Pediatric Department at Hue Central Hospital for 7 years. Working at the largest Pediatric Department in Central Vietnam, Nurse Nguyen sees children from the local community as well as children who have traveled days on a motorbike or bus to receive medical care. The Pediatric Department encourages continued education to advance the skills of the nurses and doctors for the benefit of the children.
Thank you for teaming up to sponsor Nurse Nguyen for training in Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), a course designed to train nurses in emerging countries on how to detect common childhood illnesses earlier rather than later. After participating in this training, Nurse Nguyen is able to accurately diagnose a child’s illness, provide them with the correct care to treat the illness, and then guide the parents or grandparents in effective follow-up care at home for a successful recovery. Thanks to your donation, Nurse Nguyen’s training is improving health care in the pediatric department in Central Vietnam. A special thanks to Eddie for providing two days of nurse training; thank you so much!
