Nurse Anh Works Hard for the Health of her Community!

Ms. Tran Ton Kieu Anh is 24 years old and is a nurse at Huong Thuy Medical Center in Vietnam where she has been working for two years. Nurse Anh works alongside two doctors and two nurses providing medical care to the people living in this district.  With a small staff and limited resources, this medical center serves the community of Huong Thuy as best as it can.

Thank you Aaron, David T., Anil, Chris and David H. for teaming up to sponsor Nurse Anh for training in Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI).  This course is designed to train nurses in emerging countries on how to detect common childhood illnesses earlier rather than later. Nurse Anh is now able to accurately diagnose a child’s illness, provide them with the correct care to treat the illness, and then guide their guardians in effective follow-up care at home for a successful recovery.
